During a meeting with representatives of the three major TV stations, Mermaid Media Entertainment Ltd, promoters of GO Malta Television Award, unveiled this year's award statuette. This year, award winners will receive a silver mermaid on a re-designed stand reflecting a modern look.

The silver statuette is being sponsored by Vascas Jewellers that have put in all their experience and expertise in the production of the award. Marcello Giorgio, commercial partners of Vascas, was entrusted with the production of the electroformed silver sculpture. The Italian company is a leader in this field. The two words that sum up the philosophy and working method of this prestigious company are “Reason and Emotion”, two high level concepts, which together enable the company to produce something unique and special.

Louiselle Vassallo, Media Link Communications, Ruth Vella, One Television and Simon Lunsden Public Broadcasting Services represented the three main stations.

The promoters also announced that, at over 260, the submissions for the GO Malta Television Awards 2007, this year had surpassed those received last year (199).
