Sundays With Heritage Malta

Malta Independent Thursday, 25 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Heritage Malta will be launching a series of events targeting families on the last Sundays of the month entitled Sundays with Heritage Malta. The first event in this series will take place this Sunday at the Inquisitor’s Palace and the Malta Maritime Museum in Vittoriosa.

A historical interpretation will be held at the Inquisitor’s Palace that will enable participants to grasp a better understanding of the socio-cultural impact of the Inquisition in early modern Malta. On the other hand, an exhibition entitled Voyage and Voir is being held at the Malta Maritime Museum. This is a temporary exhibition on a journey that young men from rich European families used to take part in as part of their education and formation.

Three historical interpretations will be held at the Inquisitor’s Palace, at 10.30am, and 2pm and 3pm. A special admission price of Lm3 (EUR6.99) per person will apply and this will enable participants to visit the Malta Maritime Museum and view the Voyage and Voir Exhibition. Admission for children under the age of 16 is free of charge. A limited number of visitors can be allowed in at the historical interpretations and participation is on a first come first served basis.
