With reference to your article “The elves in Sant’s grotto” (TMIS, 21 October), I ask whether it is ethical to make use of an email (or any other correspondence for that matter) sent and/or received in error, including publication of names.

I rather think not.

On the other hand, I suppose that anything goes in the sacred quest to ensure that the PN manages to hang on to power at all costs.

Luckily, your article may have exactly the opposite effect. I am sure that many, like me, were encouraged to note that there are young people who are ready to give their time and effort to ensure that Malta gets the change it so desperately needs.

I encourage them to keep up the good work and ask them to consider me as an “honorary elf”.

As for Ms Caruana Galizia, I would advise her to be more careful about the metaphors she uses. After all, elves and witches inhabit the same world.
