I am sick reading about how many residential roads the government has rebuilt. Jesmond Mugliett must think he is some superman for this. He has in fact failed. After all, this government has been in power for 20 years, so if so many residential roads needed so much attention that they cost Lm9 million to repair, it was only because of this government’s neglect over one-fifth of a century.

Whom does Mr Mugliett think he is fooling?

And why does he not go to Chadwick Lake, from the Mtarfa By-pass, of course, so his driver can navigate his fancy ministerial car down the horrendous hill leading down to the valley.

The valley road itself has been tarmacked, but the hill leading down to it has been left in its deplorable state. At the beginning of last year that other white elephant, the Malta Transport Authority, was supposed to send an engineer to report on the state of the hill.

Was an engineer sent? What did he say? Is the repair of the hill beyond the country’s resources?
