Malta Independent Thursday, 1 November 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The BOV Istrina Campaign 2007 was launched in Gozo yesterday by Mrs. Mary Fenech Adami, during a visit she paid to the Dun Salv Vella Primary School in Nadur. Mrs Fenech Adami was given a warm and enthusiastic welcome by the children. She was accompanied by Jack Thewma, Head of BOV’s network in Gozo and Andrew Psaila on behalf of PBS.

For this campaign Bank of Valletta has donated 7,000 piggy banks that are being distributed to schools in Malta and Gozo, as well as to various retail outlets.

The BOV Istrina Piggy Bank campaign has been very popular in Gozo throughout the years, and this year is again expected to play an important role in the collection of funds.

The funds that will be raised by this campaign will be added up to the total amount collected during the live broadcast that will air on local television stations in December.
