Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi has visited Israel as member of a 25-strong group of EU MPs who had meetings with Israeli government representatives.

He met Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at a 45 minute meeting with talks ranging on the Middle East, Iran and tourism.

Dr Azzopardi explained the Maltese government’s policy on the Middle East, and the desire for a two-state solution. His talks with Foreign Minister Livni included the United Nations, the Middle East and Iran.
