As part of HSBC’s initiative to promote the love of reading from an early age, the HSBC Cares For Children Fund (HCCF) has donated books to the Library at Tarxien Primary School. The donation has helped the school increase the books available to students, by aiding the purchase of a large number of colourful books and classics that the children will enjoy leafing through.

“Reading ability from an early age is a sure ticket to good academic results and a successful life,” said HCCF Chairperson Catherine Gonzi. “Difficulty with reading does not just affect a child’s ability in the classroom, but also carries with it low self-esteem. This initiative we are taking in all the schools is intended to keep promoting the importance of reading.
