A 38-year-old man was yesterday seriously injured in a freak accident after a small bulldozer fell on him, police said.

The bulldozer was being lowered from a van when, for some reason, it fell onto the man.

The accident took place late in the afternoon, and police said they were told about the case at around 6.30pm.

The man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was certified as being in critical condition.

Duty Magistrate Dr Consuelo Scerri Herrera was informed about the case.

Police investigations are still under way.
