A one-day unusual and exclusive exhibition by Architect Chris Briffa will put on display an array of original objects which he has designed over the past two years, fusing furniture with art.
“The pieces evolve from our everyday needs, coupled with a desire to complement modern interiors,” says the architect, surrounded by a collection of some 30 objets d’art built of natural timber and incorporating charcoal drawings of the human form. Objects for storage purposes and for use around the home have been carefully designed with the contemporary home in mind, and will be displayed in a derelict building which will be given a facelift for the occasion.
Chris Briffa studied architecture and design at the University of Malta and Politechnico di Milano, and has been in private practice since 2004. His recent designs include the trendy restaurant “2 22” in Valletta and a number of private residences for which he was recently nominated for international architectural awards.
The exhibition is being held from 10am to 7pm on Sunday, 25 November at 157, Old Theatre Street, Valletta (behind the old market). Entrance is free.
