I refer to the letter by John Saliba Women’s right to vote (TMID, 2 November). Yes, Mr Saliba, all Constitutions (except the Constitution of the Republic) were granted by the British Government including the Independence Constitution. Does that mean that no local political party has the right to claim any merit for the Independence Constitution?
