The Prime Minister has met athletes who represented Malta at the latest edition of the Special Olympics, held recently in China. He spoke to the athletes, who shared their experiences with him.

The athletes, accompanied by their parents and officials Mario Meli and Anna Calleja, who led the group in China, were shown round Castille by the Prime Minister, visiting the Ambassadors’ Room, the Cabinet room, and the Prime Minister’s personal office.

Participation at the Special Olympics was made possible by a Lm10,000 grant by the government.

The visit ended with the distribution to those present of a photograph signed by the Prime Minister, taken while the athletes were visiting Castille.
