Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett yesterday met schoolchildren at Paola primary school, and spoke to them about road safety and the need to observe regulations. The activity was organised by the transport authority’s Traffic Management Unit who have prepared educational and recreational material which helps the children understand better the need to be prudent.
The educational sessions are being held for the second year in state, church and independent schools.
In September the ADT and the ministry also launched a cycling proficiency test to raise awareness about road safety.
