Three cars, one truck and one motorcycle were involved in three different accidents yesterday morning in a matter of two hours, the police said.

A 20 year old escaped unhurt when “for some reason” he lost control of his car on the Marsa by-pass, overturned, and ended on the opposite side of the road. An ambulance was called but the young man, from Birkirkara, was uninjured.

Another young man, from Zurrieq, was not so lucky. He was riding his bike in Manwel Dimech Street, Qormi when “he hit something” and ended up on the road, the police said. The young man, 21, is in hospital being treated for injuries which are not life threatening.

The third accident occurred in Sta Lucija Avenue, Paola, where a 59 year old man from Attard again “for some reason” lost control of his car and smashed into a parked truck. A passing car then crashed into them.

The Attard man was taken to hospital where he is being treated.
