‘Race Track’ in Attard

Malta Independent Saturday, 10 November 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

May I ask the authorities, such as the Attard local council to deploy more wardens in the evening at Pitkali Road to curb reckless driving?

One evening recently we experienced an improvised badger carting race in the middle of the street where three youths decided to organise one. If it was not for two neighbours of mine who called for the police on site, those irresponsible would have continued with their enjoyment.

Thankfully they were stopped when the police arrived.

These boys are a danger to us and our children. How can the authorities be so lax in the face of this continuous abuse?

I must praise the Local Council for the newly installed sleeping policemen, but am sorry to say these were installed to far away, and left a good stretch of road clear for an improvised race track.
