The Nationalist Party said the Labour Party was showing it could not act properly or seriously in localities where the local council was led by a Labour majority. At Mtarfa, it said, the Labour mayor had been voted out and MLP leader Alfred Sant had gone there to support the mayor, Josephine Abela.
After again becoming mayor, the Mtarfa council was now again having problems, to the residents’ detriment. Efforts to resolve the situation have proved fruitless, the PN said, condemning the Labour Party’s incompetence.
