No fewer than than 120 girls from St Monica school experienced table tennis first hand recently.

The Table Tennis Nursery coordinated an interactive demonstration which included girls actually trying out their skills at the sport and also participating in some fun games.

The demonstration is part of a promotional campaign in preparation for the first official coaching session which will be held next year at Teresa Spinelli Gym, Tal-Qroqq.

David Pace, Nursery administrator, said: “These demonstrations create a lot of enthusiasm and awareness and kids get to know that they are not alone should they want to develop their skills. From next year they may enrol with Table Tennis Nursery and be guided to playing in the correct manner,” he said.

The TT Nursery is striving to create a mixed balance between boys and girls: in fact 50/50 would be an ideal combination to ensure growth for both genders in the future. Table Tennis Nursery may be contacted on 9944-6916 or [email protected]
