Back… Towards the future

The National Commission for Persons with Disability (KNPD) is holding activities to mark Persons with a Disability Week 2007, from 1 to 10 December.

On 1 December, from 9am to 1.30pm, a national conference will be held on “Back… Towards the Future”.

Monday, 3 December is International Disabled Persons Day. Activities will start at 8.30am with a presentation to pass on a message to the children by KNPD chairman Joseph Camilleri, and Children’s Commissioner Carmen Zammit at a school. This will be followed by a parliamentary meeting for disabled persons at the palace in Valletta between 4 and 6pm. At 6.30pm a reception will be held at the Auberge de Castille. A ministerial message will also be issued in the evening.

On Tuesday, 4 December at 9am, a Eures activity will be held, organised by the Employment and Training Corporation, at the Corinthia San Gorg, Paceville. At noon that day, the Archbishop, Mgr Paul Cremona, OP will say Mass for those who use the day services for the disabled.

On 7 December at 1pm there will be a presentation of the educational package Holoq to PSD teachers in Gozo, and on 10 December the manual Drittijiet, Mhux Karita will be presented together with the Broadcasting Authority.
