Kerygma Banjos 19
Mellieha 12
(3-4) (10-8) (14-10) (19-12)
This game from the second division opened the Netball National League this year.
From the very beginning one could tell that it was going to be an interesting one with the Mellieha team showing more strength and determination during the first quarter but this did not stop the Banjos from taking action.
In fact during the second quarter they managed to take the lead and never looked back. In fact in the last quarter the Kerygma Banjos team managed to score five consecutive shots without giving the chance to their adversaries to react.
It was only near the end that the Mellieha team managed to score their two shots of the quarter.

Ta' Xbiex ASC 43
All Ages Emotions 12
(13-3) (22-6) ( 36-7) (43-12)
This was an easy game for the Ta'’Xbiex team which is coming back from their experience in the first division. I am sure that the All Ages Emotions team found it very difficult to react playing their first game of the season and their first game in this division against such a strong adversary.
It was only due to the fact that the difference in shots was not bigger because both teams only managed to score 50 per cent of their attempts.
Ta’ Xbiex had 79 attempts while All Ages Emotions had 24. For All Ages Emotions the last quarter was their best maybe because they were gaining more confidence on court but this did not hinder the Ta’ Xbiex Team in any way.

Now was the time for another Kerygma team this time Kaizers who showed their determination from the very beginning and seeing them play one could tell that they were not going to give any team an easy game.
The United team found it very difficult to offer any concrete opposition. This was maybe due to the fact that they have some new players whom we have seen playing for the first time.
This does not lessen from the merit of the Kaizers team whose rhythm of play showed maturity and finesse and it sure gives them more confidence for their future encounters.
It was only during the third quarter that they slackened a bit but unfortunately for the United team they did not take the opportunity to lessen the goal difference and they were never a threat to the Kaizers team.
