The Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment denied allegations made by Labour spokesperson Noel Farrugia that Malta was the only country that had not put into force the Second Plan for Rural Development.
Not only was this not true, but Malta was at a more advanced stage than other countries, in fact during this week itself bilateral meetings took place with the European Commission in order to finalise the second plan, the ministry said.
