A 27-year-old was charged with committing fraud to the amount of Lm1,000.
Rita Azzopardi, from Bugibba Saint Paul’s Bay, was accused before magistrate Anthony Vella of committing the fraud to the detriment of Carmelo Aquilina and Bank of Valletta between 27 June and 10 July. She was also accused of making fraudulent gains.
Police Inspector Therese Sciberras led the prosecution while Dr Jose Herrera and Dr Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
