Some time ago, a call for applications for a consultant physician in general medicine was issued with special interest in diabetes mellitus/endocrinology.

Sources at Mater Dei told this newspaper that the choice has been made but the nomination still has to be announced and they are asking what is keeping this announcement back.

This was something that most of the participants at the recent World Day of Diabetes event, which was shown on all television stations, were aware of but the general public was, once again, left in the dark.
