Microgaming, a company that provides software for dozens of online casinos, has joined the whitelist crowd with its recent authorization by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta.
Malta has been exempted by the UK Gambling Commission from regulations that stop online gaming companies from advertising in the UK.
According to a 8 November press release, the Class IV online gaming licence will “benefit the software provider’s partners wishing to operate within the EU”. In addition, it will provide those operators considering Microgaming software and wishing to be based in Malta a smoother process - making the move a far easier one.
This is something a number of Microgaming operators are taking advantage of, having already initiated the process of obtaining a Malta licence on the back of Microgaming’s Class IV.
