The Tabloid is a newly inaugurated restaurant situated on High Street, Sliema. Forming part of the new five-star The Palace Hotel, the Tabloid offers a refreshing combination of contemporary interiors, traditional quality service and fine dining. It is open daily for dinner and, on Sunday, it is also open for lunch.
The Tabloid offers a fresh alternative to the traditional concept of restaurant space, with its sharp design and innovative changing colour schemes – cool grey and lime green in the morning and warm red tones in the evening. It accommodates up to 150 diners inside, and there are tables on the terrace as well. Seating arrangements also include a lounge area and bar for pre-dinner drinks, bistro-type stool seating and partitioning.
Offering table d'hôtes The Tabloid offers a choice of inventive starters with dishes like three-way duck and baked chevroux cheese. Its main courses include delectable dishes such as the pan fried guinea fowl on soft polenta with porcini mushrooms.
The Tabloid’s Sunday lunch full buffet caters for the most discerning gourmets but also features a children’s corner with all-time favourites.Complemented by an extensive wine list, the main buffet starts with a varied selection of antipasti that feature sushi, shellfish, meat platters and fresh salads and moves on to soups and home-made pasta. This is followed by a choice of two carveries and four main courses along with a number of vegetable dishes. The Tabloid’s dessert selection is immense and also includes a delightful chocolate fountain and fresh fruit. Fine cheeses are also offered.
