The 29-year-old Bulgarian who was taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was involved in a kite surfing accident on Sunday morning died later on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulgarian, who lived in Malta, was at Armier preparing his kite when it was blown by the wind onto a nearby tree and onto a corrugated metal roof. He was taken to hospital where surgeons carried out procedures to save his life, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police said he had lost a lot of blood. A magisterial inquiry is underway.
