The University of Malta has recently updated its website, giving it a fresh and concise look while making it easier for users to access online information.

A Web Advisory Committee (WAC), chaired by Professor Josef Lauri and with representatives from various academic, administrative and support departments, was set up to review the website, which was launched in 1998, and make recommendations on its redevelopment.

The newly designed university homepage and the top-level web pages are now online and the new university in the virtual world is available at http://www.um.edu.mt.

The next phase involves the migration of the websites of all academic, administrative and support departments. It is estimated that all departmental websites would have migrated by the start of academic year 2008/9.
