A man was yesterday accused of threatening to kill his partner on Tuesday night in Birkirkara.
The, before magistrate Edwina Grima, pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him, which included using violence to scare her, harassing her, damaging her property and assaulting her. He was also charged with breaching the peace, being drunk in public, breaching the conditions of a previous court judgement and relapsing.
He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia led the prosecution while Dr Robert Abela was defence counsel.
