Le Méridien St Julians recently launched its new branded look and feel to its staff, in an event held in the Pisces Hall. The colour scheme for the event was black and white with a splash of red, in line with the new Le Méridien colours. This gave the notion of Chic, Cultured, Discovery which are Le Méridien’s Core Values in the brand’s repositioning. All the staff were greeted at the door with a welcome drink, and then invited to a presentation about the new core values and brand culture of Le Méridien, given by the Executive Assistant Manager, Ms. Angela Saliba. During the presentation, Ms. Saliba emphasized the importance of having a distinctive brand, and that Le Méridien is in the business of creating a lasting impression and memorable experience for their guests. Embracing Le Méridien’s mission statement, Ms. Saliba stated that, “We will provide our guests with, not only a great stay, but also an active discovery that they themselves control. Their stay with us will inspire them to be creative by giving them a new perspective”.
The focus is to transform Le Méridien into a leading-edge lifestyle brand, that attracts the creative guest by providing a CHIC, CULTURED, DISCOVERY experience. The Le Méridien guest is subtle, but refined and sophisticated. Le Méridien’s content is cultured where the passion points are art, architecture, fashion and cuisine; while discovery is the benefit provided to guests – whereby the brand and the experience it provides leads to a new perspective and a new way of seeing things.
The presentation was followed by a brief speech by Bajja Investments Chairman, Dr Michael Sciriha who stressed the importance of the new brand culture, and of being a top class five star property in today’s competitive world.
A sense of fun was provided in a game, whereby the staff was invited to guess the identity of locations worldwide. The staff then participated in a small reception. The staff also had the opportunity to show their creative side by leaving their mark on a huge canvas. This work of art now graces the staff canteen – a constant reminder of the importance of being creative and providing a new perspective at all times.
