President Eddie Fenech Adami yesterday concluded his official visit to Gharb in Gozo.
Yesterday, the President took part in various activities organised by the Gharb local council headed by mayor David Apap. He first went to Mass and met residents both before and after.
He also paid a visit to the Gharb Rangers Football Nursery, the Folklore Museum and also watched rehearsals by the Ghaqda Muzikali Vizitazzjoni.
He also met Grezzja Agius, an elderly woman who showed him how to tend to sheep and how to make the traditional Gozitan gbejna.
The President encouraged councils to continue to apply for funding to implement new projects in the locality such as a park at the end of Wied il-Mielah.
He also said that in villages such as Gharb, people do not have to go to museums to learn about heritage, culture and tradition because it surrounds you everywhere.
