The Bay Street Shopping Complex came to life last Sunday as crowds of people packed the mall throughout the day for the ‘B’ Day celebration.
Martin Sapiano, Bay Street Marketing Manager, said that a lot of planning went into the organisation, and happily it proved to be a success once again.
From the morning, families packed the complex joining in the numerous activities that were held to celebrate Bay Street’s birthday. The activities kicked off with mass celebrated by Fr. Colin Apap.
A number of musical, cultural, sporting and children’s events were spread throughout the day, featuring a number of well known personalities.
The day’s activities culminated in the cutting of the birthday cake by young Francesca Falzon and well-known soprano Lydia Caruana, who was accompanied by Bay Street Directors, Chris Grech, Paul Camilleri, George Muscat and CEO James Davis.
This was followed by the spectacular lighting of the gigantic Christmas tree, to the delight of all present.
