Valletta FC Hope to sign two new players in January

Valletta are hoping to sign two new players in the forthcoming January transfer window.

Club president Victor Sciriha told The Malta Independent yesterday that he could confirm the club was interested in getting the services of international midfielder Jamie Pace of Marsaxlokk.

He also added that the other player could be a foreigner to replace one of the present trio in their clan. The indications are that it could be out of form Argentine striker Sebastian Monesterolo who could make way for the new foreigner. Since returning from a spell in Kuwait, the Argentine seems to have lost most of his flair and goal-scoring touch and has only scored three goals for Valletta this season.

Asked whether the new players will be at Valletta before the match against Juventus, Sciriha said it was still early to make any statements.

The city president is still confident that the side will be able to bounce back strongly into contention for this season’s Premier League. The club’s administration is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to strengthen the team.
