On next Wednesday’s programme of Arani Issa!, the presenter, Joseph Chetcuti will introduce us to Denise, a young woman, aged 27, from Paola. As soon as applications for the new series of Arani issa! opened, over 50 applications were sent in for this young woman; something which immediately grabbed the attention of the production team. So they decided something had to be done.

Denise has not had an easy life. She works at the Malta International Airport while at the same time bringing up her two children single-handedly. Yet Denise’s outlook on life is a bubbly one, and like most of us has had a dream which has remained just a wish up till now. Denise would love to undergo Rhinoplasty surgery, more commonly known as a nose job, but because of other financial priorities, she has had to push this dream aside. The surprise sprung upon Denise is an emotional one, when one day Joseph Chetcuti himself went to inform her that she has been chosen as a candidate for the programme. Denise’s surgery is successful, and immediately after, Denise is given another surprise, that of laser eye treatment to correct her vision once and for all. Denise’s tears of joy were no stumbling block for her laser surgery which also progressed without any problems.

Finally, Denise is at the hands of the other experts from Arani Issa!; Toni & Guy give her an up-to-date hairstyle, Nicola applies makeup using Nee` make up products, Ivory & Co, the designers create a gown tailor made for Denise, Dana makes sure her nails are perfect, and Valerie from Pavilion Jewellers adds the last glittering touch. Denise is finally ready to go down the stairs and meet her family, friends and colleagues, most of whom have not seen her before the transformation….
