As from tomorrow, snooker enthusiasts can avail themselves of the online ticket booking facilities accessible on the official website of The Malta Cup, www. maltacup.org.

This service is on hand to both Maltese and overseas snooker fans, who will be able to book the best seats immediately, on a block ticket basis or also on a day ticket basis.

The tournament will be played between 4 and 10 February 2008 at the Hilton Conference Centre. Twenty players are being invited to participate in the Malta Cup, namely the official Top 16, 2 wild cards chosen by World Snooker, and 2 by Snooker Promotions – Tony Drago and Alex Borg.

The main support to the Malta Cup comes from the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta, the Hilton Malta and Allevents Malta, which forms part of the UK based Fraser Eagle Group.

It is understood that the names of participants and the draws of the four groups making up the first round will soon be announced.
