Reaching New heights!

Malta Independent Sunday, 2 December 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

During a press conference held in the brand new Sales and Design Lounge of Metropolis Developments Ltd, a detailed model was unveiled of what, in just over three years’ time, will be Malta’s tallest building!

This impressive model, built to scale by a specialist company in England and shipped to Malta a few days ago, clearly reflects the immensity and complexity of the project – a first for Malta. The unveiling of the project took place in conjunction with the official release on the market place of a number of apartments.

Management of Metropolis Developments Ltd, the company behind the project, announced that phase one of the development went on sale to the public last Thursday and consists of a varied and diverse mix of units located in one of the three towers of what will make up “Metropolis Plaza”.

Metropolis Plaza is a dynamic new architectural project set on a footprint of 7,000 square metres consisting of “M Towers” being the residential segment with a mix of high quality residential apartments, duplex loft style units, sky villas, duplex penthouses and the “Plaza”, which will be comprised of cleverly designed commercial and retail spaces.

Fronting four streets, this exciting avant-garde superstructure shall actually consist of three towers, two of which shall rise higher than any other building on the island – 33 floors (North Tower), 27 floors (East Tower) and 13 floors (South Tower).

Carefully designed living spaces have been created with an emphasis on maximising the extensive and spectacular views that will scan all the way to Valletta, Manoel Island and Sliema Creek.

The Sales and Design Lounge is located opposite the site and is open to the public from 9am to 6pm.
