With regard to the article with the above title that was published yesterday, Din l-Art Helwa has been informed by the present owners of Torri Mamo and the nearby chapel of San Gaetano that – The original provenance of the property is through the noble Sceberras family. However, as at 19th Century, the property was owned by Testaferrata-Viani, Sceberras-D’Amico-Inguanez and Sceberras-Testaferrata families. Lord Strickland was a descendant of the Sceberras family but it does not result that he ever had a share in the property.

Today the lands around the Tower and Chapel are still owned by the descendants of the Testaferrata-Viani, Sceberras-D’Amico-Inguanez and Sceberras-Testaferrata.
