The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has concluded an agreement with the government, under which all employees who went back to government service between Posta Ltd’s dissolution and the total privatisation of Maltapost, will be integrated into the public service.

Under this agreement former postpersons and mail officers will be integrated as clerks, while former postal auxiliaries will be assimilated into the grade of messenger.

A committee has been set up to see how the agreement may be implemented to conform with a letter the Management and Personnel Office had written to the UHM on 16 February, 1996.
