Mr Joe Cristina (TMID, Tuesday 4 December) argues that ‘The PN needs to lose’ because in the democratic game there should be alternating power sharing by different parties. What Mr Cristina misses out on, is the fact that for the above democratic rule to work to the benefit of the whole country and its whole population, there must be a credible alternative to the PN. This I am afraid does not exist.
