Preparations for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007, taking place today in Rotterdam (broadcasting live on TVM at 8.15pm) are in full swing. The Maltese participants, Cute (consisting of Celaine, Marzia, Paulanne, Salaia and Trisha), took part in two rehearsals.

The show has been sold out for weeks and in front of the stage the organisers are placing 600 children with all the flags of the participating countries. All the participants will take part in the opening and closing of the show, performing a song called “One World”.

The Maltese participants, will perform in the 14th place out of 17 countries. Telephone lines for voting will be open from the start of the show so that the audience can vote for the song of their choice during the performance. People can vote up to 20 times from the same landline.

This year’s commentator for TVM will be Valerie Vella, whilst Sophie, last year’s winner, will read out the Maltese results.
