The General Workers’ Union reported “significant progress” in the nursing aides issue.
It said it had an official meeting on Thursday with the Health Division and the Office of the Prime Minister, which “is expected to lead to an imminent agreement in the nursing aides, health assistants, care workers and assistant care workers’ issue”.
The meeting focused mainly on the discussion about Scale 13 for nursing aides, the premium allowance, and a roster for work hours for these categories of workers.
