Heritage Malta will be planting trees at the Ta’ Qali National Park this Christmas instead of sending Christmas cards. The money that was used in former years on Christmas cards will be spent on trees. This initiative is being taken to send the message about the need to save trees and protect the environment and to highlight the close association between heritage, culture and the environment.

The trees will be planted as part of the 34U campaign to increase the number of trees in the Maltese islands and will be part of Heritage Malta’s ongoing effort to care for the environment. Heritage Malta is also helping the environment by creating a greater awareness about the need for more trees among its employees and members.

Heritage Malta is doing this as, conscious of its environmental obligations it wants to send a clear message to its employees and members as well as to the general public to take positive action for the environment.
