Rotary La Vallette and EnKor are giving a Christmas Fund Raising Concert in aid of St. Mary’s Girls’ Home in India and Projects in Cottonera. The event is to take place at the Salesian Theatre, St. John Bosco Street, Sliema, with its beautiful lunette by Guze Cali, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
The choir, soloists and seven-piece band will perform a varied repertoire of Christmas carols, both Maltese and international, Gospel music and a piece from the Broadway musical AIDA.
The choir was founded in November 2002 by Johanna van Lents-Singels. Over the past five years, EnKor has performed in concerts, on radio and television and also during prestigious events such as the festivities marking Malta’s entry into the EU, CHOGM, the opening of the new Dutch Embassy and others. In November 2004, EnKor was invited to perform both in Amsterdam and The Hague in the Netherlands.

The Rotary Club La Valette Malta was chartered in April 2002 and forms part of Rotary International. Among other aspects, Rotary encourages and fosters the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. It encourages high ethical standards in business and professions and the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons.
