The UHM and the Malta Employers Association have discussed occupational accidents, with particular reference to accidents in the construction industry.

The union said the two sides agreed that the time had come for an effort by all concerned in the issue to address the matter in a way to raise more awareness of the risks involved and the measures necessary to make it safer for workers.

The union and the association agreed there had to be more collaboration between them with the aim of taking the necessary measures to make places of work safer for workers.
