Six Premier League clubs were yesterday hit by suspensions to their players after the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner handed one-match bans to Cleaven Frendo and Renato Conceicao (both of Marsaxlokk), Zoran Levnaic (Floriana), Sebastian Monesterolo (Valletta), Svetlan Kondev (Pieta Hotspurs), Claudio Calleja (Mqabba) and Ryan Fenech (Hamrun Spartans).

Pieta’s kit manager Michael Vella was also suspended for two matches.
