An Englishman was found injured by gunshots yesterday morning, police said.
A police statement said they were informed in the morning that a man lay injured in Triq il-Marfa, Mellieha.
Preliminary investigations showed the man, aged 29, an English national who resided at St Paul’s Bay, had been injured after an argument with a 52-year-old Maltese man in Gharb, Gozo.
He was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital where his condition was certified as “not critical”.
Duty magistrate Miriam Hayman is holding an inquiry.
