To say 2007 was a stunning year for The Characters is an understatement. 12 months ago getting the band back together after a nine-year hiatus was the last thing on their minds. However, life moves in wonderful mysterious ways and not only have they bounced back but they’ve done it with aplomb. In what was meant to be a low profile reunion, the band, ended up releasing two singles So Alive and One in a Million, they opened for The Wailers, played some successful gigs in Belgium and only a few days ago were awarded the “icon” award at the Bay Radio Awards.

Once they’ve hit their stride, they won’t let 2007 drift off easily either. In fact, The Characters have just announced that they will be ending the year in style with two gigs in Malta and Gozo. On Friday 21 December they will be playing at Poxx Bar, Paceville and the following day they will be giving their Gozo fans a well deserved treat by playing at the KU Club.

Next year will see them focusing mainly on recording and finalising their upcoming album – so make sure to catch them live in the above mentioned gigs.
