Dr Sant Labour Councils’ percentages foretold

Malta Independent Sunday, 16 December 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

From Mr C. Zammit

Recently this Mr Aquilina has been entertaining this newspaper’s readers by continuously criticising nearly all the Labour-led local councils. It seems that the PN has now woken up from a long sleep and found that it has lost the leadership in the majority of local councils. So, now that it is nearly election time, it has embarked on this exercise of mud-slinging against all Labour-led councils.

Nowadays, people observe what their local councils do and judge them by going to the polling booths every three years. That is why Labour-led councils have the majority – because they deliver, and the majority of people have acknowledged this.

On a final note, Mr Aquilina even dared to criticise the local councils of Marsa and Zejtun. If I remember correctly, his party chickened out of the elections in these localities at the last minute. Am I right?
