Daniel Felice, 18, from Gharb, pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder another man on 13 December at about 9.30pm in Gharb. He also pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring the victim, who was hit by lead shot which was allegedly fired at him by the accused.
He also denied firing shots in an inhabited area and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm during the commission of a crime.
The court, presided over by magistrate Joe Coppini ordered the accused to remain at home for the duration of proceedings against a deposit of Lm2,000 and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.
Meanwhile, in separate proceedings Silvio Felice, 52, from Gharb, pleaded not guilty to being in possession of an unlicensed firearm on 14 December 2007.
The court set bail against a deposit of Lm500 and a personal guarantee of Lm100.
