it was reported that: “Former Labour MPs who were active during the founding of the republic were also present.
Earlier, Dr Falzon, accompanied by the MLP administration laid wreaths at the foot of monuments dedicated to late Presidents Anton Buttigieg in Blata l-Bajda and Agatha Barbara in Zabbar and late Acting President Paul Xuereb in Rabat”.
Did the reporters present ask why one of the main protagonists, that is former party leader and Prime Minister Dom Mintoff was left out of the commemoration organised by the Malta Labour Party?
Labour leader Alfred Sant has to convince his party followers first, and finish this latent internal challenge with Mr Mintoff. Then he must try to convince us that he can take the bigger challenge the Maltese people want.
That’s a Herculean task!
