Local football was hit hard yesterday by the early morning inclement weather.

The heavy rains made the Victor Tedesco Stadium and the Hibernians Ground at Corradino unfit for any matches to be played.

As a result, the two Bank of Valletta Premier Division matches at the Hibernians Ground – Marsaxlokk-Msida SJ and Mqabba-Birkirkara – had to be postponed.

Also postponed were the two first division matches scheduled for the V. Tedesco Stadium – St George’s-Qormi and St Patrick-Mellieha.

No new dates for the above four matches have been announced by the MFA.
