Gozo Electricity fault

Malta Independent Tuesday, 18 December 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Following a fault that occurred on Sunday at Enemalta’s Qala Distribution Centre at around 8pm, electricity was interrupted in Gozo until 2am.

In a press release issued last night, Enemalta said engineers had to switch off this distribution centre again yesterday morning at 10am to localise and address the fault. Although the electricity service was restored during the day, the service had to be interrupted for 30 minutes again late yesterday afternoon as technical problems were once again being experienced.

The Corporation said that while doing its best to resolve the technical issues surrounding this incident to secure uninterrupted power supply, it apologises to its clients in Gozo for the inconvenience caused.

Enemalta also reminded that they can report faults and power interruptions on the freephone number 8007-2224. The corporation said it regrets any inconvenience caused.
