Gisèle Grima, a promising young pianist, will perform in the Sala Isouard of the Manoel Theatre tomorrow at 1pm. The programme will include works by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Scarlatti, Liszt and Albéniz.
Gisèle has obtained both London College Associate and Licenciate Diplomas in performance and was awarded the Ian Tomlin Malta/Napier Scholarship 2003, giving her the opportunity to continue her studies in Edinburgh. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in music from Napier University in July 2006, having worked on performance under the tutelage of Nicholas Ashton. Whilst an undergraduate, Gisèle was also chosen to take up a semester at Tampere Konservatorio in Finland, where she studied with Estonian pianist Lauri Väinmaa and received regular coaching in accompaniment from Tiina Kärblane.
